Fabrication Final

This is my mousepad and I made this pokeball for vijay.
As I maintained in class, 3D printing is a great concept, and I love the idea. I ordered this mousepad for 12.90 and it was pretty cheap. For example, 3D printing this mousepad without color and it being 6 inches cost around 10. This is  expensive but there is  a way on this planet can anyone justify paying that kind of price for such an object, especially when you could just pay for it online from a manufacturer, even the official one. Though I cannot figure out why such an object costs so much, I decided it would be much better to just build it in class by Vijay but I also ordered it online.

I understand how detailed drawings must be for computers to understand your object, as Austyn puts it, "Humans can infer, computers cannot."  I also understand the importance of a good CAD file.

My constraints for this were atleast 8x10 but it could go lower.

Vijay made a pretty dank mousepad for me at it was nice.

Maker Faire

My design is one computer, and a poster upon the table. The computer would have the game, and the poster would tell and show people of our struggle. Also someone would be there to explain the game, and answer questions.
My role on this team was to help with narrative, draw traps, and code for the AI. I did my best to help with narrative as other people also worked on it. Gagan and I drew multiple traps that looked very nice as we spent a lot of time on them. The AI took a very long time because I knew nothing about unity when I started and I ended with some basic knowledge. The whole team was baffled because the codes were not working so we were having serious trouble. I also provided my personal opinions on the narrative and drawing the traps.

My Job.

I want to apply for the job of Game artist because I think that I can make a very interesting storyline and a really nice setting. I can also make very beautiful and exotic clothing on the characters as it would enhance the game more.

7.1 Blog Post

Size dimensions give the width, length, and depth of an object, while location dimensions tells where edges appear on an object.

Chain dimensioning is where the length of one side is determined from one point connected to another, then the other point connecting to a different one, and so on. Datum dimensioning is where all measures are determined from one point on the object. Datum dimensioning is most likely the more common practice of dimensioning since there is only one point to base the data off of, so it will be more accurate.
A dimensioned drawing gives a kind of a physical representation of the object desired, while a written description may give exact details of lengths of parts or shapes on all sides of the item, but it is only an idea. They are similar since they describe the same object, and both explains it with detail regarding the object desired. Both communicate the shapes and design wanted.

Maker Faire

I would like to have a first person game because it would be more interesting. I am inspired by games like minecraft and GTA V.

Space-X Reflection Post

Interview Post
Today the interview with Ms.Pauley and it was very interesting to know about her job at Space-X. Space-X is a place where they design, make, and launch spacecrafts. The ultimate goal is to let enable people to live on other planets. We asked her questions but we could not ask her many as she had to go to work but her responses were cool. She said Space-X took long hours of works but it would be worth it. It was interesting to know about life as an engineer.

Reverse Engineering Post

  •  Visual design principles make the product appealing to consumers. The automoblox cars were smooth and bright and looked kid-friendly, so they are appealing to them. If the car had, say, spikes, it wouldn't be appealing at all and would deter consumers. Since the product was appealing, more people would buy it.

  • The "black box" portion of the system contains formulas and calculations that the user does not see nor need to know to use the system. Black box systems are often used to determine optimal trading practices. These systems generate many different types of data including buy and sell signals.

  • Artists perform reverse engineering to find out how a product works and what makes it tick. This allows them to find out how to repair it and what parts it uses. You also figure out the function of each of these individual parts.
  • If I could change the Automoblox design, I would use lighter materials, if one could actually do that. The cars are rather heavy, so I'm afraid that little kids could hurt them selves if they drop it on their feet. I would also make more sports car designs for the cars, as our car is kinda ugly. The sports car design is very cool, and they should make more of those. Make them out of a lighter plastic and lighter wood.
